Just imagine: on two wheels, over mountain passes, forest and Alpine paths, into the world of the pale mountains. On mountain bikes, racing bikes or e-bikes, you can explore the excellent network of trails. A highlight is the Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi bike region: there are 30 routes between 700 and 2,450 metres above sea level. Breathtaking views of imposing Dolomite peaks such as the Sella massif, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto are guaranteed. The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are a paradise for cyclists.
Let the magic of water work its spell on you! How about spending the day actively swimming and relaxing? Have you heard of the Völser Weiher Lake? Just 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot from our hotel, this natural swimming lake 1,036 metres above sea level is the perfect place for a refreshing swim. Prösels Castle will take you back to the Middle Ages, the ruins of Salegg and Hauenstein will remind you of the knight Oswald von Wolkenstein, and the churches and chapels in Castelrotto, Siusi, Fiè allo Sciliar and on the Alpe di Siusi will reflect the religious life of the farming communities.
